Swayspace
About
Swayspace is a Brooklyn, NY design studio and letterpress printshop founded in 2001. The studio builds products, brands, and services through a research-based, iterative process focused on aligning products with brand strategy, clarifying complex information, and creating usable digital and print communications. Capabilities include identity systems, books, marketing materials, packaging, websites, and software interfaces, along with custom letterpress printing for invitations, posters, business materials, special events, and art editions supported by in-house visual research and prototyping.
Swayspace’s work includes front-end design and development of the first corporate mobile treasury services app for JPMorgan Chase; the original brand identity for VMware; independent product development initiatives for Delivery Associates; communications program and promotion for Brooklyn non-profit Rooftop Films; and realistic storytelling to explain emerging electronic payments technology for The Clearing House. The team features designers and educators such as Patrick Fenton, a lecturer in Stanford’s design program, and Willy Schwenzfeier, a long-time professor of industrial design at Pratt Institute. Clients span sectors from technology and finance to cultural and public-interest organizations.
